Free weekly CSA baskets to those unable to afford fresh vegetables

$2,797

raised by 27 people

$10,000 goal

We believe that no one should go hungry and that everyone should have access to local, fresh, organic produce.  We believe this so strongly that we are the only organization in Summit County that grows fresh produce with the intention of donating it to those in need. We grow to give.

Working with Park City Foundations Bright Futures, Summit Land Conservancy, and the People's Health Clinic we have identified families most in need of help. We deliver free weekly CSA baskets of fresh organic vegetables to diabetic families that don't have access to fresh produce otherwise.

Each week these families receive a basket of greens, carrots, radishes, turnips, peas, cucumbers, zucchini, garlic, onions, flowers, and more.  Recipes and nutritional information about the food in both English and Spanish are also added to the baskets weekly.  We have received great feedback from these families to make this program even better next season.

Last season we delivered to 10 families each week. With your help, we would like to double that again next year!  We need $10,000 for seeds, water, pest control, and labor.
