Last year, community generosity helped us raise nearly $4,000 before matching. This year, we’re aiming for a 15% increase — $4,600! With the match, that means a total of $9,200 to fund scholarships that change lives.

Why It Matters

Today’s world is hard on kids, teens, adults, and families. We witness the challenges people navigate every day — children who don’t feel like they fit in, veterans searching for strength and stability, adults in recovery rebuilding their lives, and community members navigating the later chapters of life with courage and vulnerability.

At Equellness, healing and growth happen through connection with horses. These majestic animals reflect who we are, without judgment. In their presence, participants discover:

• Self-awareness and resilience to meet life’s challenges

• A renewed sense of belonging and empowerment

Our Programs: Building Resilience Across Generations

For Children & Teens

• Summer Camps: Mindful riding, horsemanship, and nature-based activities that build confidence and connection.

• After-School Programs: Gentle guidance in independence, self-regulation, and responsibility.

• Teen Empowerment: A space to grow in leadership, confidence, and resilience.

For Adults

• Toolbox for Recovery: Horses as partners in healing from addiction and mental health struggles.

• Private Sessions: Personalized growth experiences with the support of horses.

For Veterans

• Programs that honor service, providing veterans with tools to rebuild strength, community connection, and joy through horsemanship.

For Community Members in Later Life

• Gentle, meaningful opportunities for those enjoying their elder years to experience connection, presence, and renewed purpose alongside horses.

Where Your Gift Goes

This year, scholarships will directly support:

• Holy Cross Ministries – ensuring access for underserved and marginalized families

• Adults in Recovery- fostering connections among those in the recovery process

• The Veteran Community – restoring strength and community connection

• Community Members in their later years – fostering dignity, community connection, and joy

• $25 = Contributes to: a child’s After-School session, building confidence and resilience

• $50 = Contributes to: a teen empowerment workshop, fostering leadership and finding their voice

• $100 = Contributes to: an adult recovery session, supporting resilience and hope

• $250 = A full programming session for a child, teen or adult who benefits most

• $755 = 1 full 6 week After School program focused on developing Life Skills through horsemanship 

• $895 = 1 full Summer Camp program for a child

• $,1000 = 1 full Summer Camp + 1 week of Summer Workshop for a child!
