At the Christian Center of park City, our mission is: "Meeting people at their point of need as an expression of God's love." We offer hope in hardship, mental health help, and meet the practical needs of those in need in our community.
How do we accomplish our mission?
-
Food Pantries in Summit and Wasatch Counties: With locations in Park City and Heber Valley, our pantries provide healthy food to thousands of residents who need a little help making ends meet.
-
Mobile Food Pantries: We bring groceries directly to communities in need each summer, ensuring no one has to go without the food they need.
-
Counseling and Wellness Center: Our team of mental health professionals and health coaches help clients find better mental health, wellness, and medication management. Scholarships and Spanish language counseling are available.
-
Basic Needs Assistance: Our Basic Needs Assistance team provides wraparound care and ongoing support for those experiencing unexpected, difficult life circumstances.
-
Annual Community Outreach Programs: Back 2 School Basics, Operation Hope, Snacks in Backpacks, Easter Basket Outreach all bring hope and help to families.
-
Operation Hope: Children in Park City and Heber Valley receive toys, gift cards, and the hope of Christmas through this program. Parents receive peace of mind and relief from the expenses of the holiday season.
-
Snacks in Backpacks: Each week during the school year, we deliver snack bags to over students in schools throughout Summit and Wassatch Counties, ensuring that they have healthy, easy-to-prepare food to eat over the weekend and when parents are working.
-
Back 2 School Basics: Meets the needs of families in Summit and Wasatch counties by relieving some of the financial burdens of back-to-school shopping. Each participating child receives a gift card to spend at Junction Commons, a new backpack, and school supplies of their choosing.
-
Goshute Native American Outreach: Monthly mobile food pantries bring fresh food and resources to the tribal headquarters at the Confederated Tribes of the Goshute Reservation - an isolated community in western Utah. Throughout the year, tribal members participate in Back 2 School Basics, Operation Hope, and enjoy a ski weekend with our team.
We depend on the financial support, donations of resellable items, and volunteer time to accomplish our mission. We are grateful for your support!
