Friends of the Summit County Library

The Friends of the Summit County Library is a non-profit organization involved in improving your library services and resources.

Friends support the library through activities that include volunteer service, cultural, educational and recreational events, and financial assistance for the continuing improvement of library equipment and inventories.

Recent activities/acquisitions for the Summit County Library provided by Friends of the Summit County Library:

• Briefing Books and volunteers for The Great Decisions Program in 2023 and volunteers for the Emerging Issues Program
• New self-checkout machine for the Coalville Branch
• Meet & greet and honorarium for author Heather Hansman's visit in August 2023 for the One Book One Community Program (Powder Days)
• Human Library Program - COMING SOON at the Kimball Junction Branch (November 4, 2023)
• Nintendo Switch for Teen Programming at all 3 Branches
• Honorarium for painting instructor at the Coalville Branch
• New display shelves for the Kimball Junction and Kamas Branches
• Wraps for the new Kamas and Kimball Junction outdoor materials lockers
• Monarch Butterfly Waystation at the Coalville Branch
• Used Book Sale - COMING SOON at the Kimball Junction Branch (November 30 - December 2, 2023)
