Leaderboard prizes will be awarded based on the total number of unique donors making at least one online or offline gift via the Live PC Give PC platform from 8/24/23 through 11:59pm on 11/3/23. Organizations listed on leaderboards may only win one leaderboard prize.

NEW for 2023! Repeat Donor Challenge: sponsored by Park City Mountain supported by Vail Resorts EpicPromise

  • The Repeat Donor Challenge will add $10 to each donation made by a donor to an organization that they gave to last year. Challenge starts at 12:01am on November 3 and covers the first 800 donations made by repeat donors. One $10 boost per repeat donor per nonprofit. 

Power Hour Booster Challenge:  sponsored by Park City Mountain supported by Vail Resorts EpicPromise

  • TWO "Power Hours" will be announced via social media on November 3 at specific times of day. Starting at the announced hours, the challenges will add $10 to the next 200 unique-donor gifts. Donors who have given earlier but give again during a specific Power Hour can still count as unique donors for these Power Hour challenges. 

Year over Year Donor Growth Challenge: sponsored by Park City Mountain supported by Vail Resorts EpicPromise

  • FOUR Donor Growth Challenge Prizes to the nonprofits with the most donor growth from 2022 to 2023. Winners will be chosen from two categories:

Nonprofits with 0-100 donors in 2022, and new organizations

  • First Prize: $1,750
  • Second Prize: $1,000

Nonprofits with 100+ donors in 2022

  • First Prize: $1,750
  • Second Prize: $1,000

These prizes will be awarded based on the total number of unique donors making at least one gift using data from 2022 and 2023.

Park City Spirit Challenge:

  • $1000 will be awarded to the nonprofit who shows the most Live PC Give PC spirit leading up to, and on November 3. Dress up, get loud, generate excitement, get creative with your signage, and have fun! The Live PC Give PC Task Force and Park City Community Foundation staff will vote to award this prize.

Organizations who qualify for multiple prizes/leaderboards may only win one (not including Power Hours and New Donor challenges), and will be awarded the larger prize amount. Prize funds will be paid to qualifying nonprofits by Park City Community Foundation by December 15.

Rules

Participation: Any individual may donate. Donations made online through Mightycause and livepcgivepc.org to nonprofit organizations are 100% tax deductible and irrevocable. Donations will not be refunded. Contributions may be made via credit card, debit card, PayPal, ApplePay or Bank Account (ACH). Checks are not accepted for this online giving event (though checks and other donations may be received directly by participating nonprofits and reported as offline gifts on the nonprofit's Live PC Give PC page).

Eligibility for donations and prizes: Eligibility for nonprofit participation in Live PC Give PC is as follows:

  1. Has been determined by the IRS to be a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization. 

  2. Has a current, Utah Charitable Solicitation Permit or be exempt per Utah’s Division of Consumer Protection rules and regulations. A copy of the exemption will be required if applicable. 

  3. Currently offer programs that support people who live and/or work in Summit County, Utah. Programs, in this case, refer to direct services.

  4. In alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Park City Community Foundation. 

  5. Park City Community Foundation reserves the right to make the final determination on participation. 

 **Organizations that have participated in previous years are not automatically eligible for participation. 

The following types of organizations are ineligible: corporate or private foundations, political campaigns, political party organizations, or organizations known to support, or who engage in activities, or who publish language that incites or engages in violence, intimidation, harassment, threats, or defamation targeting an individual or group based on their actual or perceived race, color, religion, national origin, ethnicity, immigration status, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or physical or mental ability. These activities are contrary to Community Foundation’s mission and its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. 

Park City Community Foundation does not support the selling of tickets, auction items, or any other goods or services as a part of this day. The donor of any online donation cannot receive, nor be promised to receive, any valuable goods or services as a result of such a donation.

Leaderboard eligibility: 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations are included on their respective leaderboards based on classifications determined by Park City Community Foundation.

Matching Grants: Live PC Give PC encourages organizations to offer their own dollar-for-dollar matching funds on their Live PC Give PC pages.

Minimum donation: The minimum donation on livepcgivepc.org is $5.00. There is no maximum donation for Live PC Give PC. This is a 24-hour giving event, please make your donations on or before November 3, 2023 to ensure your donation counts towards prizes.

Platform fees: All online donations are made to the Mightycause Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization which permits donors to advise the re-granting of their donations to other qualified 501(c)(3)s. 94.1% less $0.30 per transaction of all funds raised will be re-granted to the agencies, with 5.9% plus $0.30 retained to cover platform fees and transaction expenses.
