Every child deserves the chance to thrive.

Support mental health resources.

Utah is one of the states in the nation with the highest number of mental health cases among children. Utah is also one of the states with the highest prevalence of children not receiving mental health care.

20%
of young people show signs of anxiety or depression

55%
of Utah’s children in need of mental health care, do not receive it

At Huntsman Mental Health Foundation, we’re funding programs that make mental health more accessible, like the Utah School Mental Health Collaborative (USMHC), which connects students to the mental health support they need right in their schools.

Schools are uniquely situated to detect concerns and intervene promptly. However, schools like those in Summit County experience challenges in implementing and delivering mental health services. The shortage of mental health providers is one significant barrier.

A school-based solution to providing mental health services in Summit County, built on a collaborative model with the University of Utah and Summit County Schools, directly addresses the provider shortage.

Over 160 Park City middle schoolers received

mental health screening during the 2024-2025 school year.

As a result:

  • 26 were identified as at risk for anxiety or depression
  • 9 were found to be suicidal

Your donation supports ongoing school-based therapy programs for Summit County schools and helps identify students who are at risk of a mental health crisis.

Your Gift Helps Schools in Summit County

Let’s work together to build a safer, healthier future—because our youth deserve the support they need to grow and succeed.
