Habitat for Humanity, Summit and Wasatch Counties

Habitat for Humanity of Summit and Wasatch Counties is moving into our 30th year of providing homes with affordable mortgages for families in the Wasatch Back.

This summer, five families who partnered with Habitat earned their keys through our Homeownership Program. All of them work in Summit County, including a tradesman, as civil servants, in retail and for small local businesses. More families are scheduled to move in on the horizon as Habitat continues to include multi-unit buildings in the homes it builds.

In 2025, our anniversary year, we'll begin construction on our second 10-unit townhouse building in Silver Creek Village. All these future homes will be filled with families who work in Summit County, put in sweat equity with Habitat, can pay an affordable mortgage and partner with Habitat in a range of ways.

There is no standard sales price for a Habitat home. Families partnering with Habitat will pay 30% of their income* to their mortgage, insurance, property taxes and HOA fees. Families can qualify in part by landing in a specific income range based on family size (more).
