Our immigrant Latino population is the backbone of Summit and Wasatch Counties’ tourism and service-based economy. Many of the individuals and families we serve are struggling to afford groceries and rent, let alone quality childcare and healthcare services. Holy Cross Ministries provides access to healthcare, mental health counseling, legal services and early childhood education to our newest Americans, and does so regardless of religion, race, country of origin, or ability to pay.

What services does Holy Cross Ministries (HCM) offer in Park City?

Health Outreach and Mental Health Services

HCM's bilingual, bicultural community health worker in the PROMOTORA OUTREACH PROGRAM collaborates with the People's Health Clinic to provide assistance with CHIP/Medicaid applications, prenatal education classes and referrals to needed community resources like COVID-19 testing, food pantries and rent assistance programs.

Helping our underserved avoid the crush of medical debt

HCM has been chosen as the first non-profit in the country to provide professional and limited-scope legal assistance from trained Medical Debt Legal Advocates. We now offer our clients solutions to avoid—or get out from under—the crush of medical debt.

Education Programming

HCM offers the only certified PARENTS AS TEACHERS (PAT) PROGRAM in Summit County, providing evidence-based home visiting services to parents with children ages zero to three years old. 

HCM's bilingual teachers prepare children in the SCHOOL READINESS PROGRAM for kindergarten by teaching English and using Creative Curriculum, a comprehensive, research-based curriculum for preschoolers.

Legal Support

HCMs is dedicated to helping immigrants and their families gain legal status and participate more fully in the community. The legal team helps  survivors of domestic violence receive free legal consultations at Peace House.
