Some kids just learn to live with not being able to see.

On an early Friday morning, a little girl named Layla sat quietly in a chair at a Hope Alliance clinic.

She was eight years old.

Like a lot of kids we see, she had learned to adapt to a world she couldn't fully see. The board at school was blurry. Faces across the room were hard to make out. Reading took more effort than it should.

But she didn't complain. She just adjusted.

That morning, everything changed.

After a simple eye exam, a volunteer doctor placed a pair of glasses in Layla's hands and helped her put them on.

She blinked once. Then again.

And then she smiled.

Not because someone told her to. Because she could finally see.

Layla isn't the only one.

There are hundreds of children and adults across Utah navigating daily life without access to basic vision care. Not because they don't want help. Not because they aren't trying. But because they simply don't have access to it.

Hope Alliance exists to change that.

We provide free eye exams and glasses to people in Utah and around the world who need them most -- people who would otherwise go without.

A simple eye exam. A pair of glasses. And suddenly, the world comes into focus.

Every dollar given on April 30 goes directly to free vision care for people in our community.

$25 covers the cost of a comprehensive eye exam.

$50 provides a child with their first pair of glasses.
