Hope Alliance

Hope Alliance is a Park City nonprofit bringing vision care and eyeglasses to people worldwide. Our mission is to provide sustainable support to under-served communities by providing vision and hope for all. 

We collaborate with local organizations and professionals to provide vision screenings, comprehensive eye exams, prescription glasses, and protective sunglasses to patients in Utah and worldwide.

Providing eye exams and prescription glasses is a simple way to improve billions of lives.

It is our imperative to create sustainable solutions that will last beyond our visit. We develop partnerships with local organizations, eye care professionals, and referral sources at each location in which we serve.

Since its founding in 1999, Hope Alliance has impacted over 210,000 lives and 355 project sites in 20 countries. That progress represents over 385,000 volunteer hours, working with over 300 partner organizations, and the generous contributions of countless individuals, organizations, foundations, and businesses.

In June 2023, the Hope Alliance Vision Center in Park City, located at People’s Health Clinic, held its grand opening! This brand new vision center is open to individuals of all ages and offers comprehensive eye care services, including eye exams, prescription glasses, and medical referrals.  The center also provides vision education and outreach programs to the community.

Also this year, Hope Alliance opened the Hope Alliance Vision Center in Moab, Utah.  The center is located at the Moab Free Health Clinic and is open to uninsured and underinsured individuals of all ages.

On the other side of the world, Hope Alliance, in partnership with The Kellerman Foundation and the Bwindi Community Hospital, is celebrating the groundbreaking of a permanent vision center in Bwindi, Uganda.  Your support also allows us to continue this important work in Guatemala and Mexico.

The Hope Alliance Vision Center in Park City was made possible by the generous support of many donors, including John Armstrong MD, Deer Valley Resort, Scott Farrell OD, Michel Foundation, Mountain Valley Eye Institute, Park City Community Foundation, Park City Rotary, People’s Health Clinic, Restoration Ophthalmics, Beano Solomon, Summit County, Sunrise Rotary, Wasatch Ophthalmic, and the Women's Giving Fund.

All of our vision centers provide much-needed eye health care to individuals in our community and around the world who would otherwise have no access to vision care.  This is a significant step forward in Hope Alliance’s mission to transform the lives of community members in need through long-term, sustainable solutions. All of our vision centers will help to ensure that everyone has access to life-changing, quality eye care, regardless of their ability to pay.
