Mountainlands is the main provider of affordable housing in the Wasatch Back. Help us create more housing opportunities in our community!
Housing for People not Profit
Our mission is to create, preserve, and advocate for affordable housing in Summit and Wasatch Counties. Since 1993, we have completed over 300 affordable homes and 350 apartments.
With your support, we can continue to provide homes for the individuals and families that make our community the place we love. At Mountainlands we believe housing is belonging and belonging builds a thriving community.
HOPA Redevelopment
At the end of June, Mountainlands received the approval from the Park City Planning Commission for our HOPA redevelopment project. In September, we followed up with our application for federal and state low income housing tax credits. The redevelopment will require three phases of tax credit financing with each phase requiring $2 million of grants and donations for a total goal of $6 million in raised funds. Every Live PC Give PC donation will help us reach our goal and bring HOPA to fruition.
Mineros
We're currently finishing up the work on our Mineros Apartment building in Silver Creek Village, a 24-unit multifamily rental building. Mineros will serve residents earning below 50% of the Area Median Income. Mineros will be a huge lift in filling the housing need for working families in our community. Join us for the Mineros ribbon cutting in February 2024!
Parkview Place/ Self Help
6 families have moved in to the new Parkview Place subdivision in Heber City. The remaining lots will be part of the Mutual Self-Help Program. Self Help is a USDA/Rural Development program sponsored by Mountainlands Community Housing Trust for low-income to very low-income families to achieve the dream of home ownership through “sweat equity”.
Housing Resource Center
The Housing Resource Center just finished its first year at Mountainlands and Angelica and Megan have been busy. Check out what they've been up to on the new HRC page. Whether you're looking for affordable housing or want to learn how to better support affordable housing along the Wasatch Back, you'll find what you need at the HRC. The HRC believes housing is belonging and belonging is what builds a thriving community. Contact megan@housinghelp.org or angelica@housinghelp.org if you'd like to schedule a presentation for your organization on navigating and advocating for affordable housing.
Success Stories
Meet Mya, Diego, and Kara. Their stories, like so many others in our community, are testimony to the life-changing impact of affordable housing along the Wasatch Back. Your Live PC Give PC donations will help provide more housing opportunities to community builders like Mya, Diego, and Kara.
Thank You from the Mountainlands Team!
Each Live PC Give PC donation will help us to continue to advance affordable housing along the Wasatch Back! We appreciate your support as we continue to address this critical need in our community.
