We are the main provider of affordable and workforce housing in the Wasatch Back Help us create more housing opportunities for local families!
Our mission is to create, preserve and advocate for affordable housing in Summit and Wasatch Counties. Since 1993, we have completed over 250 affordable homes and 300 apartments. We've served more than 100 families through our Transitional Housing Program and have helped countless others locate affordable housing opportunities in the area.
With your support, we can continue to provide homes for families that make this community the place we all love.
Our Current Projects
We are hard at work creating over 150 new homeownership and rental opportunities, all of which include protections to ensure affordability and availability to members of the local workforce in perpetuity.
Central Village Condominiums (Silver Creek Village - Park City). A total of 64 ownership opportunities for working households in Summit County. During 2020-21 the first 32 units were sold at an average price of $225,000 to households with an average income of $56,000.
Parkview Place (Heber City). This new subdivision of 49 for-sale homes (a mix of single-family, townhomes and duplex units) is created for, and will be sold to “community builders” in Wasatch County (locally employed teachers, healthcare workers, first responders, etc.).
Central Village Apartments (Silver Creek Village - Park City). These 40 apartments will be rented to local employees earning less than 60% of the area median income for Summit County (for a household of two, this means an annual income of less than $57,000).
Our Challenge
We must continue to produce affordable and workforce housing units in a challenging economic environment. The combination of escalating land costs and increased construction costs is making it nearly impossible to produce housing that is affordable to the workforce on which our community relies. Despite the challenges, and with YOUR support, Mountainlands will continually reevaluate and reimagine how we can innovate and partner with others to accomplish our housing goals.
