"...I'm Rick Brough"
After 35 years, our beloved Rick Brough is retiring from KPCW. We're going to miss his daily news, film reviews, and of course his signature sign-off.
Help us celebrate Rick's incredible 35 years of service to this community with a gift and YOUR favorite Rick Brough story.
Share your love for Rick and KPCW
More about KPCW
Since 1980, KPCW has been an essential source of daily news for residents and visitors across Summit and Wasatch counties. The KPCW news team provides in-depth coverage on critical issues facing our community, such as real-time containment and evacuation orders during the Parley's Canyon Fire, and ways that local leaders, businesses, schools, and nonprofit organizations have addressed local needs since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
KPCW also provides daily locally-produced public affairs shows focused on business, arts and culture, the environment, physical and mental health, advances in science and technology, and issues facing area minorities, along with 64 hours of music and entertainment programming each week. KPCW also serves as an umbrella organization for local nonprofit arts, cultural, recreational, health and welfare, environmental, educational, and animal rescue organizations across Summit and Wasatch counties. In 2020, KPCW launched a new initiative to offer free underwriting to all nonprofit organizations who join us for our biannual pledge drives, awarding more than $150,000 in free underwriting to local nonprofits since August 2020.
Beyond being simply an NPR affiliate, KPCW strives to be an anchor in our community that listens deeply, surfaces untold stories, presents fact-based information that builds awareness, empathy, and engagement among the diverse communities we serve.
Thank you to The Promontory Foundation for providing a generous
$5,000 matching grant to KPCW during Live PC Give PC.
