Mountains to Mountains

Mountains to Mountains is an organization that helps to bridge people around the world who live in or enjoy visiting the mountains. We are working to create a community of people who can learn from one another by sharing knowledge and support. We provide training courses and programs that help to improve whole body health (mind, body and soul), by focusing on healing from trauma. We offer courses on lay person trauma care in remote areas as well as courses and workshops on strengthening mental health response to trauma. Courses and programs are offered at no cost to those that live in areas that have limited access to immediate trauma care and/ or mental health resources. 

Recently Mountains to Mountains conducted it's first Trail Ready Course; a wilderness medicine course geared towards teenagers ages 13-18. We taught traditional wilderness medicine, discussed safe decision making and risk mitigation and trained on psychological first aid. 

We are working on local and international relationships to expand courses and provide additional courses and resources as needed.

The organizations founder is Park City local Dr. Claudia Bouvier. She is a board certified emergency medicine physician with fellowship training in global health. She along with others help in developing all the medical curriculum. They work closely with Casey Odell the organizations chief operating officer, licensed social worker and head of mental health. It is a young organization that is being run by w group of people that are trying to give back, create a culture and community of collaboration and support.
