Mountains to Mountains creates resiliency for mountain communities by conducting Backcountry Emergency Response Trainings and Mental Health First Aid Workshops. We are a women-led, mountain-loving organization made up of emergency medicine physicians, licensed mental health providers, first responders, and experts in finance and business development.
Our mission is to strengthen whole-body health and resilience by offering trauma-informed courses and programs for mountain-loving and mountain-living communities—starting here in Summit County and extending to mountain regions worldwide. We believe in building a connected community where people can learn from one another by sharing knowledge, skills, and support.
Our programs focus on healing the whole self—mind, body, and spirit—through practical training and trauma resiliency workshops.

Workshops on strengthening mental health responses to trauma. Safe decision making and risk mitigation for young adventurers. |
Whenever possible, we invite those able to support our mission to join us in the field—taking courses alongside people living in more remote areas. For participants in underserved mountain communities, courses and programs are always provided at no cost, helping to expand access to vital trauma care and mental health resources.
By learning and healing together, we hope to create lasting connections and new approaches to trauma resiliency across mountain communities everywhere.
