In 2019, a powerful idea was born right here in Park City. We recognized that as a mountain community, we are on the front lines of climate change, and we also knew we couldn't solve this crisis alone. From that key insight, Mountain Towns 2030 (MT2030) was founded with a clear mission: to help mountain, ski resort and rural communities achieve zero-carbon emissions. We have now grown into a powerful network of more than 80 mountain and rural communities working together to accelerate climate solutions, share ideas, and scale what works.

We are building a powerful movement of mountain and rural communities leading on ambitious climate commitments and solutions.

Our year-round programs, including webinars, regional workshops, and the Mountain Town Solutions Framework, help local governments and sustainability teams move from goals to action. Your support keeps these programs free and accessible to everyone.
