Did you know that Park City once had its own opera house on Main Street? 

The Park Opera House, otherwise known as Society Hall, 

tragically burned down in 1898. 

Park City Opera is excited to revive the legacy of opera in Park City!

Park City Opera is dedicated to bringing audience-centered opera to our local community. In harmony with the breathtaking natural landscape of Park City, Utah, we are reinvigorating a centuries-old art form by reimagining the concert experience and presenting performances in unconventional venues.

Since founding six months ago, Park City Opera has performed over 16 concerts around Park City in more than 13 unique venues and reached audiences made of opera-lovers, opera-newcomers, families, seniors, and many more. 

Our Impact

1. We are serving the Park City community with high-quality, inventive performances of opera, bring the art form to familiar and unfamiliar audiences alike.

2. We are inspiring the next generation of young artists, music students, and families by bringing professional opera to our local community.

3. We are creating employment opportunities for local artists and internships for high school students interested in theater and music.

4. We are enlivening unconventional venues with music by performing opera in non-traditional and outdoor spaces.

Park City Opera's first full production is scheduled for August 2025! Opera takes a village. The singers, the orchestra, the set, the costumes, and the lighting all play a vital role in bringing a story to life. Your generosity will help make Park City Opera's first production one to remember.
