Park City Opera

Last August, Park City Opera brought Rossini's masterpiece, 

The Barber of Seville, to life in two different venues downtown! 

This production marked the first opera in Park City in over 20 years!

Park City Opera is dedicated to bringing audience-centered opera to our local community. In harmony with the breathtaking natural landscape of Park City, Utah, we are reinvigorating a centuries-old art form by reimagining the concert experience and presenting performances in unconventional venues.

Since founding in March 2024, Park City Opera has performed over 40 concerts around Park City in more than 25 unique venues and reached audiences made of opera-lovers, opera-newcomers, families, seniors, and many more. 

Our Impact

1. We are serving the Park City community with high-quality, inventive performances of opera, bringing the art form to familiar and unfamiliar audiences alike.

2. We are inspiring the next generation of young artists, music students, and families by bringing professional opera to our local community.

3. We are creating employment opportunities for local artists and internships for high school students interested in theater and music.

4. We are enlivening unconventional venues with music by performing opera in non-traditional and outdoor spaces.
