Park City Film is the only independent Art House Cinema in Summit County, and with the departure of the Sundance Film Festival we are expanding our programming to ensure that independent film continues to thrive in our community! 
We have used the art of film to create an opportunity for collective human engagement for over 32-years. There is no greater joy for us than being able to bring our community together to laugh, cry, and be transported by stories on the Big Screen. Park City Film Festival LaunchProgram Highlights:
* Launch of the Park City Film Festival!
2026 marks the beginning of a new era for independent film in Park City. The birthplace of the Sundance Film Festival, we are a community that values independent voices and storytelling. Park City Film was born out of this community's love for world-class cinema, and we are thrilled to be building off of Robert Redford's legacy with our inaugural Park City Film Festival (Oct 23-25). * Raising Voices Film Series - a program created to showcase and celebrate communities and cultures that have historically been underrepresented in the arts and create a platform for engaged community dialogue.

* America the Beautiful and Midnight in Park City Film Series - In summer 2026 we launched two new weekend film series to celebrate the diversity of the American experience and highlight some of the late-night festival selections to engage our younger audience members.

* Reel Community Series, Foreign Cinema and Park City Film Series at Santy and all the curated programming that provides our audien2026 Film Showcasece with a window onto the world and uses film as a catalyst for engagement and change.

* Cine en Español and Family Film Fest programs - programs created to better serve our Spanish-speaking community members and young film lovers and their families with free Saturday matinee film screenings each month and free film screenings during the PCSD school holidays. Presented in partnership with Park City Library.

* Made in Utah Film Series - Designed to celebrate exceptional films created by Utah-based filmmakers or in the State of Utah, offering a platform to showcase Utah’s unique voices, talent, creativity and locations. Our goal is to foster connections between filmmakers and audiences, creating an environment where collaboration and creativity can thrive.

Funds will be used to support our year round operations, the continuation and growth of the Park City Film Festival and our free community programs including the Raising Voices Film Series, Reel Community Series and our two programs for families - Foreign Cinema...For Kids! and Family Film Fest.  What We Do...

Park City Film is Summit County’s only nonprofit Art House Cinema. Established in 1995, Park City Film enhances the cultural life of our community through the presentation of a curated selection of independent, foreign language and documentary films in the historic Jim Santy Auditorium year-round and pop-up locations in Summit County in the summer months. In addition to our film selections, we program post-screening Q&A’s and panel discussions to deepen our patrons' understanding and engagement with the issues raised by the films we show; partner with local non-profits to offer free community screenings that help raise the profile of our partner organizations’ missions through film; provide special programming for children to promote cross-cultural understanding; and, provide opportunities for Utah filmmakers to hone their craft as well as showcase their work on the big screen.

Park City Film's vision is to create an engaging and affordable arts experience for people of all ages and backgrounds - using film as a medium to entertain, inspire and educate our patrons and help Summit County remain a well-informed and engaged mountain community. Our mission is to create community through film.
