Summit Pride Foundation

Summit Pride was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) in 2024 as the next step in our organizational evolution. We started out as the Park City LGBTQ+ Taskforce in 2021, formed by Park City Municipal to evaluate and address the needs of local residents. With their continued support and involvement, we’ve since grown into an independent coalition of queer folks, from all over the Wasatch Back, who support each others’ ideas across a range of projects. Whether through social events, local advocacy, or our charitable programs, we collaborate with our allies to sustain and amplify LGBTQ+ inclusivity in the Wasatch Back so that all people feel a sense of belonging. 

2024 Successes: 

Established Summit Pride as independent 501c3

Rebrand with updated vision, mission, values, and logo

Successful Pride Month events throughout the month of June 

Grow support group for parents of LGBTQ+ youth

Increase in scholarship awards for graduating seniors at Park City and South Summit High Schools

Work with county to counteract book bans

Trainings for public and private entities on how to have a supportive workplace

Work with city and county to support community affirming responses to bathroom legislation

Advocacy with city and county to generate support to oppose anti-trans state level legislation

2025 Goals: 

Conduct community assessment 

Increase to monthly community building events 

Build out website that includes a community calendar, a pink pages listing of queer and ally owned businesses. and overall increases our visibility

Continue to be a resource for the larger community
