WasteLess Solutions is a Utah-based nonprofit working statewide to reduce food waste, strengthen communities, and improve access to nutritious food. Since 2018, we’ve rescued surplus edible food from businesses and organizations and redirected it to local nonprofits serving families, seniors, refugees, and individuals experiencing food insecurity.

Food waste is both a hunger issue and a climate issue. When edible food ends up in landfills, it generates methane which is a greenhouse gas over 25 times more potent than carbon dioxide. Our food rescue model prevents this waste while helping our fellow nonprofits stretch their resources and focus on long-term stability and self-reliance for the people they serve.

To date, WasteLess Solutions has rescued more than 3 million pounds of food, provided over 1.9 million meals, diverted 1,500+ tons of CO₂e, and saved 270 million gallons of water. We work across the Wasatch Front, Summit County, Weber County, Davis County and surrounding communities, partnering with food pantries, shelters, refugee agencies, and volunteers to turn excess food into community impact.
