As E-bike usage among teens grows rapidly in our community, the need for specialized Teen E-Bike Training Education is more pressing than ever. The WILS Foundation is proud to launch a pioneering pilot program, offering a comprehensive online course tailored for 7th and 8th graders. This course aims to equip young teens with essential skills for E-bike safety, roadway navigation, and responsible riding practices. Our goal is to make this training available within the school district or as an independent course through YSA. Upon course completion, teens will receive a certificate, which can be presented to their School Resource Officer to receive a safety sticker for their E-bike, signifying their commitment to safe and informed riding.
By supporting the WILS Foundation, you contribute to our mission of educating and empowering young community members. We are passionate about preparing teens to navigate their E-bikes responsibly and giving them a head start on essential road safety principles—skills that will also be valuable when they begin learning to drive.
The mission of the WILS Foundation is twofold: 1) to advocate for all outdoor recreationists to use appropriate protective gear and 2) to empower youth coaches and outdoor leaders with medical skills ranging from basic first aid to advanced care, enabling them to assist others effectively in times of need.
