Liberty Sanctuary is one of the leading equine sanctuaries in the Park City area with 30 equine rescues, a robust care and training program and rehoming goals. We exclusively rescue vulnerable equines from the slaughter pipeline and work to help ban horse slaughter. Liberty is managed by a talented staff and an involved volunteer base with residents from Summit and Wasatch counties. We also spearhead advocacy for the equines in the slaughter pipeline with our support of the Save America's Forgotten Equines Act (SAFE Act, HR. 3475). Additionally, we have be featured by the media including Fox News, Good Things Utah, Good Day Utah, Salt Lake Tribune, NPR and more. (LIBERTY NEWS)
Your donation helps to further our mission to rescue, rehabilitate and advocate for equines we rescue from the slaughter pipeline. We currently have 30 rescues on property and welcome Summit and Wasatch county residents to visit, learn of our mission, volunteer and donate. 92.3% of equines in the slaughter pipeline are young and healthy according to the USDA. Like many Parkites, we believe the American horse is an icon of freedom. American equines helped to develop our country and are partners in work and sport. They are the third top companion animal after dogs and cats and deserve to live peacefully with dignity.
It’s time to bring an end to the export of equines for slaughter and there is the opportunity to do that now in passing the Save America’s Forgotten Equines Act (or SAFE Act). Please donate to help and email your legislators asking them to ban the export of healthy American equines for slaughter. The time is now to get this done. Please also follow our progress at LibertySanctuary.org or @LibertySanctuary on FB and IG.
We are proud to share some of our work with you here.
Please share with friends and support the SAFE Act to end the export of American Equines for slaughter. Liberty Sanctuary works to give voices to the voiceless. Your generous support enables us to continue our mission.
On behalf of all Forgotten Equines, we are immensely grateful!
