HELP US PREPARE FOR WINTER

Last winter was an extremely challenging time for us, and we are now getting ourselves ready for the upcoming winter season, expecting heavy snowfall. The previous year was disastrous for us, as we were severely impacted by floods that caused significant damage to our hay, barn, and fences. Additionally, the snow banks were super high, which made it impossible for us to move in and out of our property. Due to the deep snow and strong winds of 20-50 mph, our horses were confined to the barn, and we had to trample down the snow in front of the barn to move around. We also faced difficulties in obtaining water, as the hose would freeze, and the deep snow made it difficult for us to move around.

Your donations can play a significant role in helping us prepare for the upcoming winter season and ensure that the horses and caretakers of Wild Heart Sanctuary remain safe and have access to water, hay, and shelter. Last year, we had to bear numerous unforeseen expenses and had to install piping and new water troughs to facilitate water flow to the barn. We are also hiring the services of excavators and plows to address flooding issues, repair fencing, snow-proof around the barn, redirect pipes for snow away from the barn, and add pallets under the hay to prevent water damage.
